Lead Equipment Operator (2nd Shift) 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 121 N Shirk Rd, New Holland, PA 17557 Job description We are seeking a dependable warehouse equipment operator who is detail-oriented and possesses the physical and mental stamina this role requires. You will play an important role in ensuring our warehouse operates with optimum precision and efficiency, helping to fulfill orders and prepare them for shipment. Forklift certification and previous warehouse experience are a major plus. Equipment Operator Duties and Responsibilities Overseeing, training, directing a team. Assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization Work under supervision and direction of the Operations Supervisor Loading and unloading material/product from trucks and equipment. Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents Inspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing items Properly scan and inventory incoming goods Unload, stack, move, and place products in designated areas Move and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as needed Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc. to transfer and deliver goods Perform detailed manual inventory counts Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval Stack and stage items for storage and shipment as necessary Fulfill and track outgoing orders Collect, prepare, package, and label goods for shipment Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to Supervisor or Manager Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Always adhere to health and safety rules and regulations Wear protective clothing and equipment as required Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks Equipment Operator Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous warehouse experience preferred Previous dock experience Lead those within the department to operate under the company guidelines, processes and procedures Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, twist, reach overhead, and stand for extended periods of time. Able to work long hours on one’s feet and perform physically demanding tasks Must be able to train on day shift for two weeks and then move to 2nd shift which is Sunday through Wednesday 3:30pm to 2:00am Excellent communication skills Computer literate Familiar with common warehouse tools and equipment Thorough, alert, and detail-oriented Dependable and responsible Strong work ethic Comfortable working independently or as a team
