The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, along with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials and products throughout our facility, while adhering to safety regulations and operational guidelines. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to transport goods within the warehouse. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks. Perform order picking duties to fulfill customer orders accurately and timely. Conduct regular inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with OSHA standards. Maintain an organized warehouse environment, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly. Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare shipments for delivery. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Experience Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting is preferred. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as order picking techniques. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety is essential. Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling troubleshooting of minor equipment issues. Experience with warehouse management systems will be advantageous for effective inventory control.
