ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: Operate powered industrial high-reach forklifts in a safe and efficient manner to perform “put aways” of received products by placing pallets in overhead storage racks. Training and certification are provided through Weis Markets. Use a hand-held scanner to scan products into inventory locations to ensure proper organization of products. Take pallets of product stored in overhead storage racks and perform “let downs” by bring down to selector level to allow to selectors to pick orders for Weis Markets retail locations. Fulfill full pallet work orders per store demand. Conduct pre-operation inspections of powered industrial equipment and complete all associated paperwork. Remove tape, shrink wrap, or bands that are placed around merchandise so that product placed at selection level is ready to be selected. Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, efficient, clean, and effective work environment while complying will all federal, state, local, OSHA regulations, and laws.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This associate has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
