Summary:
Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose ofmoving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product.
Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products. Ensuresproducts are free of damage and infestation, product code dates areproperly recorded and products match customer requirements.
Primary Duties:
- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials usinga forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment
- Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact numberand types of product are loaded
- Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy
- Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and productdamage
- Maintain the facility?s equipment and materials in a neat, clean,and orderly fashion
- Assist in physical inventories and the completion of dailyinspection of equipment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management orcustomer
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver?s license
- Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of aforklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment isessential
- Six months warehouse experience and six months forklift operationexperience is desirable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to workspecified shifts. Ability to follow work procedures and safetyrules
- Ability to read, understand, and followdirections/instructions
