The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth operations in shipping, receiving, and order picking processes. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the property. Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate handling of goods. Perform materials handling tasks, including stacking and organizing products in designated areas. Assist with inventory management by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies. Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with supervisors to ensure timely completion of shipping and receiving tasks. Participate in order picking processes to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the whole area. Experience Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting. Familiarity with materials handling practices and shipping/receiving procedures. Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus but not required. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety is essential. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong attention to detail.
