Dalton GA Job Summary:

As a Warehouse lift truck driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a lift truck to unload, load, and move rolls of carpet and sundries in a warehouse environment. Your primary duties will include using a hand-held scanning device to pull orders and accurately record inventory, loading and unloading trucks, and moving products to designated areas for storage or shipment. You will be required to follow all safety procedures and guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities:

Operate lift truck to unload and load rolls of carpet and sundries. Use a hand-held scanning device to pull orders and record inventory accurately. Move products to designated storage areas or trailers for shipment. Load and unload delivery trucks and ensure products are secured properly. Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning. Always adhere to safety guidelines and regulations. Report any equipment defects or issues to the appropriate personal. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and in time. Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Prior experience operating a lift truck in a warehouse environment. Ability to follow directions and work independently. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and safety. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
