Forklift Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating forklifts and handling materials efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, preparing materials for shipment, and operating overhead cranes. Responsibilities Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks. Handle materials with care and efficiency. Use overhead cranes for material handling. Prepare materials for shipment according to guidelines. Lift and move objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Essential Skills Proficient in forklift operation. Experienced in material handling. Able to load and unload trucks efficiently. Knowledgeable in shipping and receiving processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with sit-down and stand-up forklifts. Familiarity with pallet jack and reach truck operations. General labor and warehouse inventory management skills. Order picking and packaging expertise. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work a 60-hour week from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a half-day schedule on Saturdays. The role requires physical endurance and a commitment to safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pickens, South Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00/hr.
