Material Handler/Forklift Operator 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Greeneville, TN 37745 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members. Duties Operate forklifts and reach trucks safely and efficiently to move products throughout the warehouse. Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment. Assist with shipping and receiving operations, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists. Utilize scanners to track inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock movements. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Participate in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to prevent injury. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations related to material handling equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the shift. Experience with scanners or inventory management systems is preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
