Forklift Operator – 1st Shift Position Available In Rutherford, Tennessee

Job Description:

The Forklift Operator/Material Handler position will operate aforklift to stack, relocate, and move goods, supplies and materialsfrom one place to another. The operator is accountable for the safeand efficient operation of the vehicle (i.e. forklift, boom, scoop,lift beam and swivel hook, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platformetc.) and may also be required to perform operator duties. YourExperience and Qualifications High School Diploma or GeneralEducation Degree (GED) is required. 2 to 3 years of experiencesafely operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment. Musthave valid state issued license to operate a motor vehicle. Picksup and delivers parts and materials between production lines. Picksup and delivers parts and materials from shipping/receiving and thewarehouse. Must have and be able to maintain a valid state issueddriver’s license.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong analysis,problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge ofLean Manufacturing principles. Dynamic communication /inter-personal skills. Highly organized and possess gooddecision-making skills. Must be able to satisfactorily completeforklift training, including written and driving test and be issueda forklift license. Must have and be able to maintain a valid stateissued driver’s license.
