Summary We are excited to announce that we’re hiring a first shift Forklift Driver for our distribution center in Memphis, TN. The Forklift Operator I is primarily responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment (including the Reach Truck and Order Pickers) for the purpose of product receipt, storage and order fulfillment. Key Responsibilities Operate industrial trucks according to safety guidelines and requirements. Use of electronic devices such as handheld scanners, tablets, and computers. Full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders and packaging components. Pallet retrieval and put away in bulk rack storage system. Quality control to ensure accuracy of all transactions. Sorting and building products to pallets to ensure compliance to customer expectations. Perform a pre- and post-equipment checklist. Follow safety guidelines and general warehouse standards. Picking assigned customer orders accurately. Auditing customer orders to ensure quality and quantity. Processing and preparing orders for shipping to customers, Loading and unloading of pallets and cases from trucks by hand or equipment. Maintain all document non conformance or compliance issues to the Supervisor. Meet established performance standards for the position. Observe all company rules and regulations. Perform other distribution work functions as needed due to business volume and need. Requirements Proven experience as a forklift operator or similar role in a warehouse environment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology. Understanding of OSHA regulations regarding safety practices in the workplace. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.• Must have the ability to read and understand detailed work instructions in English to complete daily tasks. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Must be able to safely lift, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs. Must be certified to operate mobile equipment (fork-truck, stand up fork-truck, etc). Able to walk or stand, bend, and lift for 8-to-10-hour shifts in distribution center environment Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum of one year of experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment At least one-year previous forklift experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
