Forklift Operator Highland Industrial Staffing Mount Juliet, TN 37122 Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating stand up forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety standards. Duties Operate stand up forklifts, including cherry pickers and reach trucks. Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety. Assist in building and organizing pallets for storage or shipment. Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels accurately. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Skills Proficient in operating forklifts, including cherry pickers, with a strong understanding of materials handling best practices. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors. Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is an asset.
