Primary Purpose:
Provides grant-writing services and other duties for Advancement and Community Relations covering all Colleges and units at NSU.

No Essential Job Functions:
1. Applies for grants primarily for Corporate Foundations and Private Foundations 2. Establishes and maintains official electronic files for funding applications and award management 3. Works in collaboration with the Corporate and Foundation Relation staff on vetted college and university supported applications 4. Work with faculty members to transform programs and program ideas into viable applications 5. Attention to detail, editing text and looking over applications for grammar, spelling and content before submitting 6. Research private grant funding opportunities 7. Performs other related duties, as assigned.

May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, and computer keyboards.

Required Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in grant writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in successful private grant writing, preferably for higher education or the nonprofit sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with fundraising or grant management software (e.g., Blackbaud, Instrumental, Foundation Directory). Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Is this a safety sensitive position? No Background Screening Required?
