Teladoc Overview:
The Peer Specialist functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide peer support, advocacy, coaching, mentoring, behavior modeling, assistance, and guidance for clients. Promote positive and collaborative relations with team members and the community. Attend available training to increase skills specific to mental health and substance abuse populations. Actively participate and contribute in staff meetings, supervision, quality reviews, and monitoring activities. Maintain positive, timely, and effective communication with patients, families, team members, external and internal resource providers, referral sources, and community providers.
Role Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Lived an experience in at least one of the following areas:
As an adult who has been in recovery for a minimum of two (2) years from a substance use or mental health condition.
As a family member or caregiver to another individual who has or is in recovery from substance use or mental health condition.
As a veteran of the armed forces who has been in recovery for a minimum of two (2) years from a substance use or mental health condition.
Preferred to have completed certified peer specialist training and/or be willing to complete as a condition of employment.
Must be able to use a computer.
Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.
Compensation:
Salary Range for this position is $15.01 to $16.12 per hour. Salary is based on experience.
