PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls. + Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. + Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds. + Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time. Job Specification As a learning and development specialist, you will play an integral role in facilitating and executing employee development programs for our clients. You will get the flexibility to design and organize training courses by combining creativity, research and analysis of existing materials. Curriculum planning and enrollment coordination will provide you an opportunity to work with other departmental professionals and employees on an interpersonal level. You will also have the chance to collaborate with other talented instructors to lead trainings and oversee client/employee participation. Managing course evaluations and overall productivity will allow you to experience the trainings on a personal level to assess their efficiency and ability to engage. Job Duties and Other Information + Develop training materials by completing thorough research, analyzing educational vendors and assessing the client needs + Organize a training curriculum that is engaging and allows trainees the maximum opportunity to participate + Lead the instruction and presentation of training courses and assess how effectively different methods and materials are at encouraging interaction and participation + Evaluate teaching methods to select the options that will aid in the delivery of concepts without unnecessary distraction, downtime or confusion + Create budgets for all costs associated with training, and write detailed reports to justify expenditures for reporting to executive management + Prepare training locations by ensuring all tools, technical equipment and resources needed to effectively teach a course are in place + Oversee general administrative duties, such as coordinating enrollment, scheduling class times and locations and sending invitation information to all trainees + Travel across our service region to client locations required with the potential for overnight travel 20% Benefits for unclassified employees are determined by the individual hiring authority. 01 Do you possess a the preferred Baccalaureate degree in business or related field? + Yes + No 02 Do you possess a minimum three (3) years in either direct education or a corporate Learning and Development capacity? + Yes + No 03 Do you possess the ability to provide exceptional customer service, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced team environment with an excellent attention to detail? + Yes + No Required Question Employer State of Louisiana Address For agency contact information, please refer to the supplemental information above.
