The SBA Business Developer will work to build relationships with entrepreneurs, lenders, and community partners to support business growth and economic development. Duties The SBA Loan Officer develops contacts and leads to generate Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loans to provide financing through the SBA program for the owner occupied commercial real estate. Builds, develops and maintains specialty finance lending relationships with new and existing clients. Consults with clients and prospects to understand current business practices, identifying their financial needs and goals. Develops and promotes Piedmont Business Capital loan products and services. Contributes to the growth of the loan portfolio by originating application for SBA loans. Collect, analyze, and discuss credit and financial data. Responsible for all aspects of the loan process, including closing. Actively refers clients to community lending programs at local banks. Represents Piedmont Business Capital at various civic and community functions to enhance our reputation as a community lender and create business opportunities. Experience /Qualifications Experience in business development, problem-solving and analytical processes. Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in commercial credit and/or relationship banking in the financial sector.
Strong computer proficiency:
Word, Excel, Outlook, databases, CRMs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Nonprofit experience is a plus but not required. Ability to prioritize competing requests and to meet deadlines. Demonstrated experience in maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Working knowledge of credit policies and related procedures and processes. Working knowledge of SBA 504 lending products and services. Ability to work effectively individually or within group settings. • Salary is negotiable.
