Job Development Specialist (Part-Time) Stevens Center 1576 Kelly Drive, Sanford, NC 27330 About the Role Stevens Center is hiring a Job Development Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in preparing for, finding, and thriving in community employment. This is a meaningful, person-centered role for someone who enjoys building relationships, promoting inclusion, and working independently. The position offers some flexibility in scheduling , with an average of 20-25 hours per week. Part-Time with potential for Full-Time hours. Evening and weekend availability is required , along with travel to local job sites. Key Responsibilities Assist individuals with job searches, resumes, applications, and interview preparation Provide on-site job coaching and support as needed Build and maintain connections with local businesses and community contacts Track participant progress and complete timely, accurate documentation Advocate for inclusive employment opportunities and workplace accommodations Collaborate with staff, families, and outside agencies to support participant success Qualifications Strong documentation and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required (college coursework in a related field preferred) Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required Must pass background check and complete all required training
