The Mission The mission of the NC Rural Center is to develop, promote, and implement sound economic strategies to improve the quality of life of rural North Carolinians. They serve the state’s 78 rural counties, with a special focus on individuals with low-to-moderate incomes and communities with limited resources. Description Overview Virtual Connect Program Manager guides the development and implementation of the Virtual Connect program in partnership with the Faith in Rural Communities team. Virtual Connect serves to extend the impact of the established Connect Church program by facilitating the program content in a virtual space. Duties & Responsibilities Develop and maintain on-line learning platform and implement best practices in adult learning. Lead the development of script and playbook for video-based lessons on faith-based community development. Guide contractors producing video content. Ensure high quality product that will be used in the local church setting. Identify and build on-going relationships with national partners. Demonstrate expert understanding in faith-based community development and asset-based community development best practices. Provide community development coaching and facilitation to faith communities and community teams. Community teams may include diverse faith, non-profit, community, and government leaders Responsible for the review, distribution, and follow-up on implementation grants including creating benchmarks and a framework for evaluating successful grant applications. Create and implement a system for measuring and evaluating programmatic impact in partnership with national partners. Ensure compliance with all funding requirements Participate in team and full staff meetings and other relevant internal meetings. Participate in external partner and stakeholder meetings as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience At least five years working with faith communities and/or rural economic development or a combination of experience and education equivalent to bachelor’s degree; masters preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

NC Rural Center offers a salary range of $70K to $75K for this position, commensurate with experience.
