The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of The Front Door Agency and be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our programs and initiatives. This role requires demonstrated experience in achieving successful grant support from private and governmental sources. This role requires a strong understanding of program development and the ability to articulate our mission effectively through compelling narratives. The Grant Writer will collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure that all proposals align with organizational goals. Duties Conduct thorough research on potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Write clear, persuasive, and well-organized grant proposals that effectively communicate the needs of the organization and the impact of its programs. Develop program development strategies that align with funding opportunities. Maintain accurate records in databases related to grant submissions and funding opportunities. Prepare budgets and financial reports as required by grant applications. Collaborate with team members to gather data and information necessary for proposal writing. Ensure compliance with grant requirements and deadlines throughout the proposal process. Engage in technical writing as needed to support various projects within the organization. Experience Proven experience in proposal writing, preferably in a nonprofit or similar environment. Strong research skills with the ability to analyze data effectively. Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial report writing is essential. Experience managing comprehensive database for tracking grants and fundraising activities is preferred. Strong organizational and Planning skills with the ability to think strategically. Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity in technical writing. Knowledge of fundraising principles and practices is a plus.
