Integrity House operates 16 licensed treatment programs across New Jersey as well as community outreach and prevention programs, and serves over 3,000 individuals every year. Integrity House seeks a nonprofit development and fundraising leader passionate about promoting healthcare access and community wellness. Development Manager job description The Development Manager role offers an excellent pathway for professionals with fundraising or related experience who are eager to develop their nonprofit development and management skills, and advance their career. This position includes supervisory responsibilities for two team members – a Development Specialist and Development Coordinator – providing valuable leadership experience in a supportive environment. This is a full-time, exempt position with typical work hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Evening hours may occasionally be required during event season. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development and Strategy, the Development Manager has the following responsibilities: Team Leadership and Management Supervise and mentor two development team members. Build essential management skills while contributing to meaningful work. Collaborate with senior leadership on organizational strategy. Grants & Contact Management Work with the Senior Director of Development and Strategy to identify funding opportunities that align with the agency’s mission and strategic goals. Attend bidder’s conferences and other meetings to learn about funding requirements. Develop proposals for government and foundation sources, and other relevant funding types. Support the Development Specialist in creating compelling proposals and funder reports. Build relationships with current and prospective funders through outreach and communications. Events & Individual Giving Coordinate fundraising events in collaboration with the Development Coordinator. Build and maintain relationships with prospective and established donors. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on fundraising campaigns. Partner with leadership to identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts. Explore and help develop additional fundraising vehicles such as planned giving. General Responsibilities Maintain accurate donor records and data using CRM software. Create reports on fundraising activities and outcomes. Analyze fundraising data to evaluate fundraising effectiveness and inform future strategies. Stay informed about trends related to substance use disorder, mental health, and other areas of relevance to Integrity House’s mission and work. Keep up with best practices in nonprofit fundraising and development. Lead or support other Development team initiatives as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Journalism, or another relevant field. 2+ years’ experience in resource development or proposal writing.

Specialized Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

Excellent proposal writing abilities. Self-starter with strong analytical, organization, and prioritization skills. Knowledge of diverse funding streams (i.e., foundations, city, county state, federal) to support substance use disorder/addiction treatment, mental health, and/or social service programs. Event planning experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of fundraising principles and donor relationship management Familiarity with Bloomerang or other CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, etc.). Proficiency with Google Workspace, online applications, and standard office software Interest in substance use disorder, mental health, recovery, and/or public health.
