Position Summary:
The Community and Advancement Operations Coordinator supports the Office of Institutional Advancement by providing vital coordination and operational assistance in community engagement, donor support, event logistics, and advancement communications. This position plays an essential role in helping ASUMH deliver impactful public programming, fundraising events, and community-building initiatives. This role reports to the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement and contributes to the success of strategic initiatives that elevate the efficiency, visibility, reputation, and philanthropic support of the college.
Duties & Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Event and Project Support:
- Coordinate planning and logistics for community and donor-focused events including:
o Coulter Celebration of Lights
o ASUMH / City of Mountain Home Art Walk
o Performing Arts and Patron Series
o Terre Ware Author Lecture Series
o ASUMH’s support for the Mountain Home Charity Golf Classic
o Other public events and campus initiatives - Manage event timelines, vendor coordination, volunteer assignments, and materials preparation.
- Support post-event reporting and follow-up communications.
Sheid Programming and Operational Support:
- Assist with the scheduling, promotion, and execution of events held at The Sheid.
- Work with campus and external partners to coordinate logistics such as audiovisual needs, facility setup, and attendee management.
Advancement and Donor Operations:
- Maintain accurate records in donor databases, support gift entry, acknowledgments, and reporting.
- Assist with fundraising campaign logistics, donor communications, and mailings.
- Help prepare materials and logistics for donor stewardship events.
Marketing and Communications Assistance:
- Draft advancement and development-related content for social media, newsletters, event invitations, and press releases.
o Support publicity efforts for special events, including media and photography coordination.
Administrative and Office Support:
o Maintain calendars, appointments, and records for advancement activities.
o Assist in budget tracking and purchasing related to events and projects.
o Provide general office support for the advancement team, including document preparation and scheduling.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with donor or CRM software is a plus.
General Days/Hours:
Monday-Thursday 7:30 am- 5:00 am & Friday 7:30 am – 2:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree required. Excellent organizational and communication skills; experience in event planning, community relations, development, or administrative support. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events.
