The Manager of the OLLA Fund (annual fund) is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive annual giving program for Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, with an emphasis on securing increased, unrestricted gifts from all constituencies. The OLLA Fund Manager will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects and donors to support the school’s strategic and fundraising goals, including increased support in dollars raised and percentages of participation by all constituency groups. The Manager will work closely with the President, Director of Advancement, the Board’s Advancement Committee and other constituents to support fundraising priorities and help build a pipeline of major gift donors and loyal supporters for future campaigns. The Manager of the OLLA Fund is responsible for proactive research, which includes reviewing constituent/donor lists and participating in the development and maintenance of our constituent management database strategies for moving prospects forward in the donor pipeline. The Manager will also develop and manage a comprehensive, proactive and reactive research program helping to identify and qualify individual, corporation and foundation prospects in preparation for cultivation and solicitation by the President, Director of Advancement, or other advancement team members and volunteers. Founded in 1963, Our Lady of Lourdes Academy is a certified STEM school that seeks “to educate young women to face the future strengthened by their faith, prepared and confident in their abilities to achieve their goals and committed to their Catholic and American heritages.” Essential Functions include: Annual Giving Program Management Develop, coordinate, and manage the annual giving timeline, including personal solicitation, direct mail, and electronic appeals. Develop and execute a comprehensive annual giving program that identifies, solicits, and stewards all constituencies. Oversee, strategize, and execute the Parent Pledge Program and meet with all new parents to ensure participation in the annual campaign. Draft acknowledgment and solicitation letters for the OLLA Fund, including those signed by the President. Develop and maintain a segmentation plan by giving capacity, including ask amounts based on donor history and research. Produce customized reports to track and evaluate the success of the OLLAFund program on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Develop print, digital, and video materials for annual giving; ensure OLLAFund webpages are current. Implement social media and creative channels to support annual giving initiatives. Donor Portfolio & Prospect Management Manage a defined and growing portfolio of leadership annual giving prospects. Develop strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward each prospect/donor. Work closely with the Director of Advancement and Board Advancement Conduct donor research and coordinate strategy with the Director of Advancement before solicitations. Meet with constituents to secure long-term pledges and gifts. Write thank-you notes for new pledges and stewardship efforts. Database Management & Reporting (DonorPerfect) Serve as the departmental DonorPerfect expert, maintaining up-to-date training and certifications. Manage database updates and administration to support the transactional and informational needs of the Advancement Office. Interface DonorPerfect with related systems like Constant Contact; prepare lists and segmented pulls as needed. Maintain database segmentation and collaborate with team to keep it current. Assist with creating and producing queries, reports, spreadsheets, and providing data support for reports and campaigns. Produce reports from the database on giving categories, constituencies, and sources. Recognition, Stewardship & Events Responsible for donor recognition and stewardship. Collaborate with the Special Events Director to coordinate the President’s Leadership Society. Reception and donor wall installation. Attend and support execution of school-sponsored advancement events, campaigns & matching gift strategy. Communications & Publications Produce segmented mail and email appeals for each donor group. Contribute to the school magazine and annual donor report, in collaboration with Advancement and Administration. General Support Complete additional duties as assigned by the President or Director of Advancement to support departmental goals and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, PR, finance or a related field. Two to four years of relevant experience. Knowledge of fundraising and promotion of non-profit religious institutions. Skilled at needs analysis, using systematic approaches to assess and identify needs. Skilled at implementing action plans. Ability to work creatively and collaboratively. Knowledge of basic project management principles. Donor Management system experience preferred. Experience working with and generating financial reports from spreadsheets and databases. Knowledge of social media applications and platforms; mobile services experience preferred. Good computer literacy, including the ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively. Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google apps. Good oral and written English-language communication skills, including a clear speaking voice. Good Spanish-language spoken communication skills. Knowledge and support of basic tenets of the Catholic Church and parish structures. Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.
