Executive Director Position Overview:

FANM is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Development to lead and implement fundraising initiatives that support the organization’s mission of empowering low to moderate-income families socially, financially, and politically. The Director of Development will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivating donor relationships, overseeing grant management, and driving revenue growth through diverse funding sources.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy & Execution:

Develop and implement a multi-year development strategy to sustain and grow funding for FANM’s programs and initiatives. Identify, cultivate, and solicit major donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations to expand financial support. Oversee annual giving campaigns, special events, and donor engagement efforts. Lead efforts to diversify funding sources, including individual donations, grants, corporate partnerships, and government funding.

Grant Writing & Management:

Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with FANM’s mission and programs. Write and submit compelling grant proposals and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Track grant performance and provide timely updates to funders and stakeholders.

Donor & Stakeholder Engagement:

Establish and nurture relationships with key donors, partners, and community stakeholders. Develop and execute a donor stewardship program to enhance retention and engagement. Represent FANM at networking events, conferences, and community meetings.

Communications & Marketing Support:

Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling fundraising materials, including newsletters, social media campaigns, and annual reports. Develop impact reports and donor appreciation materials to highlight FANM’s success stories.

Team Leadership & Development Operations:

Work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals. Supervise development staff, volunteers, and consultants as needed. Oversee donor database management and ensure accurate tracking of contributions and donor interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations within a nonprofit setting. Proven track record of securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and grant funding. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in donor management software and fundraising platforms. Passion for FANM’s mission and commitment to social justice, immigrant advocacy, and community empowerment.
