About Our Client:
Our Client is not a typical yeshiva. They are a lifeline for boys who come from challenging backgrounds — spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Their mission is to rebuild their connection to Yiddishkeit and to themselves, providing a nurturing environment where they can grow into proud, strong members of Klal Yisrael. With about 50 boys currently enrolled and plans to expand to 200, and are on an inspiring journey of growth, including the purchase of a new $4 million campus to serve as a full-time yeshiva and dormitory.
Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and results-driven Director of Development / Fundraiser to lead our fundraising efforts. The right candidate will be responsible for securing a minimum of $600,000 annually through a combination of major gifts, donor cultivation, campaigns, events, and strategic partnerships.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build something transformative and everlasting.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet or exceed the $600K annual target.
Donor Cultivation:
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors, foundations, and community leaders.
Major Gifts:
Identify, solicit, and steward major gift prospects and high-net-worth individuals.
Campaign Leadership:
Lead capital campaigns for the purchase and renovation of the new campus.
Events:
Organize parlor meetings, Shabbatons, dinners, and other fundraising events.
Communications:
Work closely with marketing teams to create compelling messaging and promotional materials showcasing the yeshiva’s life-changing impact.
Reporting:
Maintain donor database, track pledges, prepare reports for leadership, and ensure thank-you notes and stewardship activities are timely and meaningful.
Qualifications
Proven track record of successfully raising significant funds (preferably in the nonprofit or educational sector).
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly organized.
Deep understanding of — and passion for — kiruv, chinuch, and klal work.
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Rosh Yeshiva and leadership team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with the frum community and its nuances a strong plus.
