This isn’t your average nonprofit gig, it’s a frontline leadership role for someone who can meet with a C-suite executive in New Orleans on Tuesday and a community walk captain in Lafayette on Wednesday, and then still have energy to brainstorm fresh event ideas on Thursday. What You’ll Do (aka Make Magic Happen) You’ll own fundraising events from top to tail, growing revenue, leading walk committees, securing sponsors, and driving the mission forward. Events like our client’s community walks and community campaigns are magic in creating community. Plan, manage & execute signature events (walks, events, lunches, learning sessions, neighborhood get-togethers, etc.). Grow fundraising revenue year-over-year (numbers can be discussed during interviews). Recruit, train, and manage volunteer committees (yep, you’re a people whisperer) Increase event participation & sponsorships. Build relationships with top fundraisers, donors, and corporate partners. Collaborate with a tight-knit national fundraising team. Show up for the community with empathy, energy, and top-tier organization. Be present at events (yes, there will be evenings and weekends, AND it’s worth it). Travel within Louisiana as needed (with preference for folks based in southern LA).
Requirements:
You’re not afraid of a fast pace, a full calendar, or a goal that stretches you. In fact, you thrive in it. Bring your experience and heart—we’ll back you with a powerhouse of support. 4+ years in nonprofit event fundraising. Proven peer-to-peer fundraising experience. Track record of securing sponsorships and growing event revenue. Experience building and managing volunteer committees. Strong project management & organizational skills (we love a good spreadsheet). Tech-savvy, especially with social media and donor platforms. Bachelor’s degree required. Based in Louisiana (Southern LA preferred).

Experience with national orgs, affiliate/chapter models. Familiarity with DonorDrive, Virtuous, Excel, SharePoint.
