The Executive Director, in close partnership with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Xavier and the Dean of XOCOM, will oversee funding over the next five years to support medical school start-up costs, faculty endowments, student scholarships, and new facilities. AA/EOE Minimum Qualifications The EDoD will lead efforts to secure funding, focusing on building an endowment, funding scholarships, advancing research, and supporting student success that will shape the next generation of diverse healthcare leaders. This role transcends traditional fundraising. As EDoD, you will foster collaboration among XULA, Ochsner Health, and a global network of partners, ensuring that every strategy aligns with institutional priorities and the evolving needs of medical education. - Design and implement strategies to expand donor pipelines, focusing on alumni, healthcare industry leaders, and philanthropic foundations.
- Lead efforts to secure major gifts, endowments, and planned gifts to meet the College’s ambitious fundraising goals.
- Manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and oversee the development of tailored proposals and engagement plans for each donor.
- Engage the XOCOM Foundation Board of Directors in the fundraising process, ensuring their active involvement in cultivating and soliciting potential donors. Collaboration and Partnerships
- Collaborate with the Xavier University of Louisiana Advancement office to ensure that systems, data management, and gift processing procedures effectively support fundraising initiatives.
- Work closely with key stakeholders at Xavier University of Louisiana and Ochsner Health to align fundraising efforts with institutional priorities and medical education needs.
- Partner with faculty, administration, and alumni to identify and advance high-impact fundraising initiatives. Campaign Management
- Lead the planning and execution of comprehensive fundraising campaigns to support XOCOM’s capital, endowment, and programmatic needs.
- Develop and monitor progress towards campaign goals, providing regular updates to XOCOM Board of Directors, XOCOM Foundation, and XULA leadership and campaign stakeholders.
