IBA-Inquilinos Boricuas en Accion empowers and engages individuals and families to improve their lives through high-quality affordable housing, education, and arts programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising Strategy & Execution

  • Develops and manages annual fundraising strategies and campaigns to secure financial support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government sources.
  • Cultivates and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors; supports the CEO in major donor cultivation and solicitation.
  • Plans and oversees fundraising events, appeals, and capital campaigns, including engaging consultants.
    Planning, Writing, & Reporting
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop financial strategies and ensure revenue meets program budgets.
  • Leads grant proposal development and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Generates the Annual Report and maintain clear communication with the finance team regarding grants and gifts.
    Data Management & Monitoring
  • Oversees data entry and gift processing in Salesforce, ensuring integration with donation platforms.
  • Monitors fundraising trends and prepares monthly reports for senior management and the board.
  • Coordinates with staff to track and follows up on donor leads.
  • Oversees the annual cultivation and distribution of Community Investment Tax Credits (CITC) for donors.
    Additional Responsibilities
  • Participates in key organizational events (e.g., Three Kings Day, Membership Drive, Festival Betances) and manages donor cultivation and engagement events planning.
  • Maintains efficient fundraising processes and handles ad hoc duties as needed, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in nonprofit management, business, social/human services or related field; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum seven years of demonstrated success in planning, managing, implementing, and securing funds, especially major gifts.
Major campaigns experience preferred.
High degree of computer literacy with excellent knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and PowerPoint required.
Ample experience with Salesforce or other CRMs required.
Outstanding project management and organizational skills, with the necessary attention to details to drive complex, multi-faceted projects forward and on time.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Highly positive and enthusiastic style; capable of motivating others.
Experience working in an urban community with a diverse population.
Able to work flexible schedule.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

IBA is proud to offer very competitive $165,000 annualized salary, commensurate with experience, and a robust benefit plan that includes an 80/20 premium cost share for comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance; a generous HRA provided by the company ($9,450 or $18,900 based on single and family coverage) and other built in supports that significantly reduces or eliminates out of pocket medical expenses. We offer a 403b plan with annual employer contribution, generous paid time off and free parking (limited availability).
