Givens Communities is looking for a Philanthropy Director to support our growing team! This position is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of all fundraising activities. In partnership with various teams, this position will develop comprehensive organizational advancement through the maintenance and creation of additional financial resources. Based out of our Black Mountain campus, Givens Highland Farms, the Philanthropy Director will support the entire organization in fundraising efforts. What you’ll do: Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate overall fundraising efforts of the Givens organization, communities, and outreach endeavors working closely with the VP of Philanthropy and staff Nurture existing and future donors to cultivate resources and to match those resources to funding opportunities Oversee strategic endowment growth Coordinate and supervise the annual giving programs, continually assessing and improving the ongoing effort Coordinate, develop, implement, and evaluate charitable giving programs Represent Givens and subsidiaries in public and private presentations to nurture donors, uncover fundraising opportunities and/or to provide outreach opportunities in the community Institute and maintain a system for regular and meaningful recognition of donors and volunteers Assist with the production of special events and projects, which both require development and public relation implications Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor What you’ll need: Knowledge of all levels of fundraising – special events, annual fund drive, capital campaigns, and planned giving 5-7 years of work-related experience in fundraising, marketing, and/or communications Understanding of donor tracking software such as Raiser’s Edge, and planned giving software such as Crescendo Interactive Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred Compensation is competitive and based on background and experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package Still curious about what Givens is all about?
