We are seeking a strategic and passionate Development Director to join our leadership team and help advance our mission by leading fundraising efforts, building community partnerships, and securing the resources needed to ensure every child and family we serve has the opportunity to thrive. Position Overview:
The Development Director will lead the organization’s fundraising strategy and oversee all aspects of development, including individual giving, pledges, grants, events, and corporate sponsorships. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate development professional to manage a comprehensive fundraising program and contribute to the long-term sustainability and growth of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy & Revenue Growth Partner closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Director, to ensure fundraising efforts are mission-aligned and supports both annual and long-term organizational priorities. Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, corporate sponsors, and pledge partners to secure sustainable financial support. Lead the design and execution of annual giving campaigns, planned giving strategies, and special fundraising events or programs. Research, write, and manage grant proposals and reporting, ensuring compliance with funder requirements and deadlines. Monitor fundraising progress through data analysis and adjust strategies as needed to maximize impact and growth. Community Engagement & Donor Stewardship Build and nurture strong, values-based relationships with donors, community partners, and funders who align with our vision of child and family support. Design and implement meaningful stewardship plan to recognize and retain supporters through thoughtful communication and engagement. Represent Partners In Learning at community events, donor meetings, and networking opportunities to elevate our visibility and increase engagement. Lead donor communications and marketing initiatives across print and digital platforms to effectively support fundraising campaigns.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
2-3 years of comprehensive development experience Excellent personal, verbal and written communication skills Strong networking/fundraising skills and record of successful solicitations Experience in annual campaigns, donor stewardship, grant writing/management, and event management Customer service, communication and recordkeeping experience Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines Solid organizational, time management and project management skills Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilities
Preferred :
College or university degree in a relevant field
