The academy is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Middle States Association. Its mission is to educate NYC children to lead and serve by knowing God and understanding His world.

Full-time Fundraising Coordinator Job Overview:

MCA seeks a creative and driven Fundraising Coordinator to enhance annual donations and develop a comprehensive fundraising program. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial, detail-oriented individual passionate about sharing MCA’s mission and its impact on education.

Key Qualifications:
  • A born-again Christian, faithfully walking with the Lord in accordance with His word.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, particularly in securing major gifts and building supportive communities.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with donors.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Expectations:
Strategic Planning and Management:

Draft and implement an aggressive fundraising plan with objectives, goals, methods, and a reasonable timeline. Work with the administration to formulate annual goals at MCA to fund the development needs of the school. Develop and maintain reports on the progress toward goals and regularly report to the administration.

Developing Donor Constituencies:

Build relationships with a variety of constituencies and identify and solicit donor prospects. Develop and maintain an organized Alumni association. Acknowledge and track gifts, correspondence, and communication with donors. Plan and facilitate activities/occasions to initiate and maintain contact with present and prospective donors. Create, maintain, and update a prospect database of current and potential donors.

Fundraising:

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan for individuals, businesses, and foundations. Establish and grow a Planned Giving program and present Planned Giving vehicles to appropriate candidates. Research, write, and submit grant proposals from all appropriate grant-funding avenues. Seek out and implement all appropriate sources of fundraising. Solicit, recruit, and organize fundraising volunteers. Provide creative direction in the creation of marketing materials. The successful candidate will be instrumental in furthering MCA’s mission through effective fundraising strategies and community engagement.
