Director of Development – Carolina Sunshine for Children Bring Joy. Inspire Hope. Change Lives. At Carolina Sunshine For Children , every wish granted is a spark of joy during the darkest times for children battling life-threatening illnesses in South Carolina. Since 1983, we’ve created unforgettable moments of hope and happiness-because we believe every child deserves to experience the magic of a dream fulfilled. We are seeking a mission-driven, results-oriented Director of Development to lead our growth efforts and amplify our impact. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our mission-driving fundraising strategy, expanding donor relationships, and elevating brand awareness so we can serve more children across the state.
What You’ll Do:
Lead fundraising and business development strategies to grow revenue and diversify support. Cultivate corporate sponsorships and individual giving campaigns that build long-term donor loyalty. Oversee marketing and digital campaigns that highlight the life-changing power of a wish. Strengthen and expand our annual Gala while building new events and engagement opportunities. Partner with our passionate board and community to expand Carolina Sunshine’s reach beyond Columbia.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years in fundraising, business development, or marketing (nonprofit experience a plus) Proven success in sponsorships, digital marketing, and donor engagement Strong leadership, storytelling, and relationship-building skills Passion for mission-driven work and the perseverance to drive meaningful change Must live in Columbia, SC.
