FAHA administers 298 public housing units. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in management, particularly in affordable housing, and a working understanding of finance, human resources, business/community development, public administration, or a closely related field. This role requires an individual who can effectively negotiate and manage resources while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the organization. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising all aspects of FAHA’s day-to-day operations. Requirements A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Four professional references are required. Starting salary is commensurate with experience and education. Responsibilities Establish policies and procedures to ensure that all operations of the Authority function in accordance with Board directives and HUD regulations. Monitor Authority operations by reviewing records and reports, ensuring that PHAS, the PHA Plan, and other reports are submitted to HUD in a timely manner, and that scores are acceptable. Direct and coordinate activities of redevelopment programs, federal programs, and other special initiatives. Serve as the contracting officer for the Authority, which includes preparing or overseeing the preparation of provisions in contracts, agreements, and other instruments. Sign binding agreements on behalf of the agency. Ensure that the provisions of contracts and agreements are followed. Authorize payments on completed contracts and agreements. Oversee special fiscal arrangements regarding collections and payments (e.g., PILOT, bond financing, collection of fees, and payments due to the agency). Ensure that LOCCS funds are drawn down in a timely manner. Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure units are always ready for REAC inspections. Consult with the FAHA Board of Commissioners regarding policies, goals, plans, and fiscal matters. Formulate short- and long-term goals and plans for the Authority. Experience Proven experience in senior leadership roles within a similar industry or sector. Strong background in project management with demonstrated success in leading complex initiatives. Experience in process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of successful partnerships and collaborations. Expertise in business development strategies that drive growth and sustainability. Solid understanding of operations management principles and practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward achieving common goals. Commitment
