This is an exciting opportunity to grow in a dynamic industry, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations while contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities Operational Support:
Assist in managing daily plant operations, including sorting and processing recyclable materials, to ensure smooth workflows.
Process Improvement:
Support the implementation of operational enhancements to boost efficiency and reduce costs under the guidance of the General Manager.
Compliance Assistance:
Help ensure operations meet local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, including EPA and OSHA standards.
Equipment Monitoring:
Assist in overseeing plant equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance teams for routine upkeep.
Inventory Tracking:
Support inventory management of materials, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.
Performance Reporting:
Help monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare basic operational reports for review.
Safety Support:
Promote a safe work environment by assisting in the enforcement of safety protocols and participating in safety initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience:
2-5 years of work experience in operations, manufacturing, or recycling/waste management, construction or a related field that involved heavy equipment.
Skills :
Basic understanding of operational processes, ideally in recycling or manufacturing. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn. Familiarity with or eagerness to understand environmental and safety regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA). Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and basic inventory management tools. Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Certifications:
OSHA certification or similar safety training is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
