$16•22/hr starting, depending on adaptability High performers may grow to $25+/hr or salaried leadership roles over time We’re not just hiring for today — we’re investing in tomorrow. Gainesville Vision is a locally owned, fast-growing optometry practice with a second location opening soon in Ocala. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us — not just take a job, but learn the business from the ground up and eventually help lead it. As our Future Practice Manager , you’ll start by learning all aspects of clinic operations — from patient care to billing, eyewear sales, front desk coordination, and back-office support. You don’t need experience in optometry — just the right attitude, reliability, and drive to learn. This is an opportunity to be mentored directly by our leadership and help shape the future of both locations.
What You’ll Be Trained To Do:
Greet and prepare patients for eye exams Educate patients and assist in selecting glasses Verify insurance and process billing Coordinate scheduling and front desk operations Help manage daily flow and team communication Learn inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination Take on increasing responsibility in operational decisions Train toward Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) certification — fully supported and paid for by the practice We’re Looking for
Someone Who:
Wants a long-term, full-time role with upward mobility Learns quickly, communicates clearly, and shows up consistently Enjoys working with people and improving systems Is open-minded, humble, and motivated to grow Can handle both patient-facing and behind-the-scenes responsibilities This is not a fit if: You’re looking for short-term work or “experience” for school You aren’t open to learning a wide range of roles, including hands-on tasks You expect to jump into a manager title without learning the business first
Benefits:
Structured, hands-on training from the owner and leadership team Support to achieve Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) credential Long-term advancement and promotion opportunities No prior experience in healthcare or management required. We’re ready to invest in the right person — if you’re ready to show up, learn, and grow, this could be the start of a meaningful career. We’re looking for mindset and potential — not a specific resume.
