Job Summary:
The Assistant Vice President reports to the Vice President with key responsibilities of staff management for the Florida, Personal Risk (Personal Lines) team. You will maintain strong relationships with internal referrals and carriers and be responsible for policy compliance and staff management functions. You may also service your own book of business. You should have experience as a manager, supervisor or team lead within Personal Risk/Personal Lines business. This is a full-time role with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. This role requires at least 2-3 days a week from our Miramar, FL office. There will also be occasional regional travel (a few times a year).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
You will lead an account management team, that provides Personal Risk insurance solutions in the Florida market.
Key responsibilities will include staff coaching, career development, knowledge-based training and overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with clients.
Act as the subject matter expert on Property & Casualty and carrier products and services in the Florida market.
Responsible for the team’s process and results around service delivery.
Driving new business and client retention.
Maintains solid relationships with referral partners and carrier partners. Work with the Senior Leadership team to ensure deliverables are executed within the local office and that they are conformed to NFP standards. Manage team structure and monitor team workload. Knowledge, Skills, and/or
Abilities:
Knowledge of all areas of Personal/Personal Risk coverage is required
Florida market experience is highly preferred
Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs
Demonstrated effective management and leadership skills
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Must be able run reports, prepare presentations and standard business correspondence.
Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience with EPIC or similar client management system
Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner Education and/or
Experience:
BA/BS preferred. HS Diploma or equivalent is required
More than 10 years industry and Personal Lines/Personal Risk experience preferred
Experience managing a team in environments with high call volumes or customer interactions is preferred
Demonstrated effectiveness with Supervisory/Staff Management experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
Property & Casualty Broker’s License required upon hire
CPCU or other P&C designation preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $63,000-$125,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location.
