Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our brand new “state of the art” self storage facility. This is a weekend position with hours on both Saturday and Sunday. Space2Store offers clients 1,030 temperature and non-temperature storage units. This role is ideal for someone with strong sales skills, a knack for organization, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager in answering phone calls, showing rental units to clients, maintaining high occupancy, ensuring property cleanliness and security, and providing a positive experience for all storage tenants.
Hours required:
Saturdays 8:30AM-5PM and Sundays 8:30AM-12:30PM. Additional hours may be available depending on how busy we are. Facility set to open June 9, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales:
Greet customers, answer inquiries, and assist with unit rentals both in-person and over the phone. Recommend storage solutions based on customer needs. Upsell products and services (e.g., packing supplies, insurance).
Operations & Facility Maintenance:
Open and close the facility as scheduled. Perform regular walk-throughs and inspections to ensure units and grounds are clean, secure, and in good condition. Handle light maintenance duties such as sweeping units, replacing light bulbs, or coordinating vendor services.
Administrative Duties:
Process rental agreements, payments, and lease renewals. Maintain accurate records using property management software. Assist with delinquent accounts and collections procedures.
Team Support:
Step in as acting manager during General Manager’s absence. Help train new staff and maintain company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred but not required. Prior retail, sales, customer service, or property management experience is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Prefer to be fluent in Spanish but not required. Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, POS systems, CRM or property management software). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
