Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee daily operations,making sure projects are completed on time and within budget.
You’ll manage the Project Managers, CAD Manager, Field Manager,Shop Manager, and Paint Manager, and also work with ownership toset company direction and keep everything running smoothly. TheGeneral Manager will also work side by side with accounting toensure jobs are on budget and profitable and the individualperformance of their direct reports is tracked.
KeyResponsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the organization, including projectplanning, field work, shop production, and coatings. Create and implement plans to improve efficiency andprofitability. Ensure departments work well together, from planning to projectcompletion. Set clear goals, track progress, and guide departmentheads. Manage production schedules, staffing, and resource needs tokeep projects on track. Ensure all safety rules and quality standards arefollowed. Improve communication between departments to make workflowsefficient. Drive improvements in how we do things to boostproductivity. Track project budgets and keep an eye on costs to find savingsand improve efficiency. Mentor and support team leaders to build a culture ofaccountability and growth.
Qualifications:
5-10 years of experience in a management role within metalfabrication, construction, or manufacturing. Proven experience managing teams, including Project Managersand production leaders. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guideteam members. Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Solid understanding of fabrication processes and productionworkflow. Experience with budgeting, managing resources, and controllingcosts. Strong communication skills, able to work with all levels ofthe team. Knowledge of safety and quality standards for metalfabrication. Comfortable using project management tools, ERP systems, andMicrosoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, constructionmanagement, or a related field. Experience in miscellaneous metals fabrication or custommanufacturing.
