Role Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented automotive professional with a passion for precision and a drive to lead? We are seeking a motivated Body Shop Estimator who will not only excel in assessing vehicle damage and preparing accurate estimates but will also be trained and mentored to step into an Assistant Manager role. Key Responsibilities:
As a Body Shop Estimator (Initial Focus): Conduct thorough visual inspections of damaged vehicles to assess collision, mechanical, and cosmetic damage. Utilize industry-standard estimating software CCC One to prepare precise repair estimates, including labor, parts, and materials. Communicate effectively and transparently with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians regarding repair costs, timelines, and processes. Negotiate repair costs with insurance companies and customers to ensure fair pricing and efficient claim resolution. Maintain meticulous records of all estimates, repair orders, and customer interactions. Stay updated on current market trends, industry standards, and new repair techniques. Assistant Manager Development (Future Focus/Growth Opportunities): Receive hands-on training and mentorship to assist in managing daily body shop operations, including scheduling and workflow. Learn to support staff management functions, including training, mentoring, and monitoring technician performance. Gain exposure to customer relations, including resolving complaints and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Understand quality control measures to ensure all repair work meets company and manufacturer specifications. Participate in financial management, including assisting with budget preparation and expense monitoring. Support inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels of parts and supplies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. A vocational degree or certificate in Auto Body Repair or Collision Repair is highly preferred.
Experience:
Not required but preferred to have 2 years of proven experience as a Body Shop Estimator or in a related automotive damage assessment role. Prior experience in a customer service role is beneficial.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with computer systems and industry-standard estimating software CCC One is essential.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and “people skills”. Great attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. A team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the confidence to handle high volumes under pressure. Demonstrated leadership potential and a commitment to high ethical standards.

Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required.
