Full Job Description Description Job Overview:
This position works closely with fellow Vice Presidents to instill the highest of corporate values to our Regional Directors and ensure that all corporate functions are adhered to. Forms relationships with the Board of Directors at all listed properties. Works closely with the President of the Region, insuring the importance of the business relationships with our properties. Has full responsibility and discretion to handle all situations that occur with employees and clients (i.e., management problems, contract renewal situations, etc.). Ensures that all managers are accountable for their duties and actions. Oversees all financial considerations from our properties to the Company. Ensures that a quality product and services are delivered from our Regional Directors to our On-Site managers and ultimately to our customers. Ensures that our Company’s ancillary services are being offered by our Regional Directors to their properties. Must be available for any and all situations that occur within our management entity to ensure the FirstService Support System. Regional Directors Your Responsibilities:
Ensure Client Retention Identify the person(s) with whom authority rests. Periodically contact those persons identified to measure success of staff and troubleshoot for improvements. Negotiate, within established parameters, terms, conditions, and fees to be incorporated into contract(s). Build relationships with clients to generate client references and new business referrals. Spearhead contract execution, collection on company billings, and monitoring of “watch-list”. Develop Team/Business Unit Create and maintain business unit Business Plan with growth projections, staff development objectives and competitive financial goals (i.e. coverage areas, property load, etc.). Develop staff career growth plans with recruitment, retention, training, performance evaluation and promotion. Troubleshoot for weak managers and identify trainability or replacement opportunities. Develop staff’s understanding and ability to promote ancillary services to clients. Ensure staff’s use of Connect tools to monitor Regional Director and Community Association Manager Performance. Review and troubleshoot staff requirements, personnel costs and overtime through Change of Status and timesheets. Conduct monthly manager’s meeting highlighting staff development goals, addressing client issues and planning for future requirements. Coordinate Intra-Company Services Develop relationships with department heads for intra-company services. Coordinate and monitor services for performance and how they may impact contract (i.e., Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Safety, Association Accounting, Front Desk Operations, IT, etc.). Identify and advise of threat to core business where intra-company services need improvement. Maintain FirstService Residential Image in Community Participate in various community organizations as a means to promote FirstService Residential. Promote company values by participating in volunteer opportunities. Other duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business or related field from a four year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
This position works under usual office conditions. The associate is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
