Job Overview:

This role provides a production environment foundational experience for entry level engineers or business management graduates, including valuable experience on the shop floor that is highly valued throughout industry and will set you apart from your peers in years to come.
Is accountable for improving manufacturing processes and systems with the goal of reduced manufacturing costs or other agreed to improvement metrics. (This will be accomplished within the Process Improvement umbrella of the company). Responsibilities Discuss, manage and record keep as required for Safety, Housekeeping, Environmental and Quality requirements in your area of responsibility
Scheduling, Timekeeping and Accountability responsibilities for your teammates
Coordinate production activities including Start-ups, Shutdowns, Daily Operations, Maintenance, Trials, Corporate Process Improvement Projects and Corporate Engineering Projects in your area of responsibility.
This role will be physically demanding as you will be expected to operate equipment and perform housekeeping activities with your team – leading by example.
Roles of responsibilities within Oil-Dri company will include Production Management, Process Improvement, Plant Process Engineering or Corporate Engineering.
Expected to work in a front-line leadership position(s) within the factory within various production department(s) for up to three years. Initially you will be trained as an operator in the area of responsibility assigned so you will become a hands-on expert in the area you will be leading.

Qualifications Education:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Business Management.

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
Independent self-starter who can work effectively with all levels of management.
Poses core values of honesty and integrity
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with lifting heavier weights.
Must be able to work in dusty environments
Must be able to climb at heights 100 feet or greater.
Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, twist, and climb stairways and ladders, to study and understand plant processes.
