Job Description

Manage all employees in a truck shop and office environment. Plan and assign work, implement policies/procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manage shop performance measures, including visual controls and other performance communication initiatives, and report status/progress to departmental teams and to operations management as required. Ensure effective employee relations and positive morale through communication, coaching and personnel development while resolving employee issues fairly and effectively within the guidelines of company policy. Build relationships with customers. Improve work standards and meet all objectives for housekeeping, quality, productivity and cost by continuous employee guidance and development. Understand and comply with all PPE requirements at all times, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same. Emphasize and enforce safe work practices and encourage a safety mindset at all times. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors or Associates Degree or combination of education and experience in a related field. 7-10 years’ experience in a truck shop environment preferred. Parts and general mechanical knowledge preferred. Comfortable managing P&L and KPIs. Proven development of high performance teams. Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task. Proficient in problem analysis, problem solving and successful resolution. Customer focused with strong ability to build rapport with customers. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
