Summary:
In collaboration with the MHMG Physician VP of Population Health and Primary care, the Vice President co-leads Adult Primary Care across MaineHealth Medical Group (MHMG). The dyad has overall accountability for advancing and supporting all aspects of the clinical and operational activity for Adult Primary Care.
Primary accountabilities include:
leadingstrategic planning efforts,expanding and enhancing access to care, supporting and driving the people agenda (culture and engagement), fostering program development and alignment andexecution on quality and value initiatives. In addition, the dyad will have operational oversightand accountability for key disease site specific clinical andsupportive care programs. The VP will also be charged with leading and implementing initiatives to support the delivery of care across thecontinuum in a highly coordinated fashion, as well as the longitudinal alignment ofstrategies, programs, and services across vertical business units.
In addition, the dyad is responsible for collaborative working relationships with community-based practices and partners, MaineHealthmembers and MaineHealthaffiliates in identifying growth strategies, advancing care models focused on decreasing variation in care, optimizing qualityoutcomes and improving access to services.
The Vice President has a direct reporting relationship with the President of MaineHealth Medical Group. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Graduate degree in related field (MBA, MHA, RN, MA or MS) preferred.
License/Certifications:
N/A
Experience:
Five years of progressive senior administrative leadership experience directly in health care, preferably Primary Care.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required:
Excellent interpersonal skills; experience in working and collaborating closely with more senior management and physician leadership, and community-based agencies and partners. Demonstrated supervisory, management and collaboration skills, with physicians, nurses and the broader multidisciplinary teams. Proven experience successfully implementing and leading change and building relationships and trust across the continuum in a complex health care environment. Demonstrated strong financial and resource management skills and a thorough understanding of the business side of healthcare delivery. Demonstrated experience in driving accountability and delivering results.
