To plan, direct, and manage the collection, analysis, and dissemination of performance improvement data. To ensure the delivery of quality patient services and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures.

Education & Experience Education and Experience Required:

Associate’s degree in healthcare related field and three (3) years of clinical experience.

Bachelor’s degreeand RN licensure preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of medical management concepts, programs, and healthcare systems and processes. Knowledge of performance improvement principles and techniques. Knowledge of data collection techniques. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Interpersonal skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Problem resolution skills. Ability to plan, develop, and implement programs. Ability to train, motivate and supervise employees. Responsibilities Oversees the collection, analysis and interpretation of data relevant to quality performance standards; ensures compliance with accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. Collaborates with individuals and groups to define goals, use of tools, and techniques, available data, resources required, and monitor team progress. Plans, develops, coordinates, and delivers training and educational programs regarding performance improvement principles, techniques and initiatives; ensures organizational awareness of performance improvement initiatives. Conducts clinical orientation weekly. Oversees the development and implementation of performance improvement initiatives. Conducts annual quality board strategic planning sessions to identify and pr oritize aspects of care and/or services. Supervises subordinate staff to include work allocation, evaluation, training, and problem resolution. Oversees the generation of applicable reports and the maintenance of files and documentation. Generates reports for the organizational quality board. Provides organizational awareness of performance improvement initiatives and progress; communicates to leadership and clinical staff regarding outcomes of performance improvement measures and initiatives. Works closely with the Patient Safety Officer and Risk Management Clinical Coordinators to ensure that opportunities and/or risks are identified to improve the efficiency and safety of processes. Reviews occurrences and assigns cause analysis; provides resources to assist problem owners with developing effective action plans. Analyzes and identifies top process targets for performance improvement initiatives from aggregated casual analysis and current sampling methodologies implemented. Investigates, coordinates and documents quality reviews in response to insurance company quality review requests. Oversees the organizational mortality review and reporting of identified clinical practice variations and/or unexpected outcomes to improve mortality rates.
