Opening Date 05/05/2025 Closing Date 5/27/2025 11:59 PM Central Agency Minimum Salary $123,184.00 Agency Maximum Salary $123,184.00 About the Agency Workers’ Compensation Commission administers the Workers’ Compensation Law in cooperation with other state and federal authorities for the prevention of injuries and occupational diseases to workers and, in event of injury or occupational disease, their rehabilitation or restoration to health and vocational opportunity. About the Position The executive director serves as the Commission’s chief executive officer, overseeing daily operations, personnel management, budgetary planning, legislative relations, and the maintenance of the agency’s building and grounds. The executive director will work closely with the three appointed Commissioners to ensure the agency fulfills its mission and achieves its objectives. This position requires a dynamic leader who can manage personnel and budgets and effectively represent the Commission while dealing with stakeholders. What you’ll need to be Successful The ideal candidate will have a understanding of Legislative budgeting processes, financial management, and legislative procedures; the ability to manage a diverse team and handle complex personnel matters; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with elected officials, staff, and external stakeholders; the ability to manage facilities and oversee building and grounds maintenance; and the ability to think strategically, set goals, and execute plans effectively. Preferred Qualifications A bachelor’s degree and seven years of experience in work related to the above-described duties.
