We are seeking a mission-driven Executive Director to lead RMHC Mississippi with strategic vision, fundraising acumen, and a deep commitment to serving families. The Position The Executive Director of RMHC Mississippi is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the organization. This includes oversight of operations, development, staff, programs, finances, and community relations. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization’s sustainability, growth, and alignment with its mission. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of RMHC Mississippi’s strategic plan in collaboration with the Board.
  • Serve as a liaison to the Board of Directors, keeping them informed and engaged.
  • Ensure compliance with RMHC Global standards and accreditation.
  • Function as a “clearinghouse” for information to the Board and Committee chairpersons.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, including the community, medical facilities, staff, and the Board of Directors, to construct and carry-out the organization’s next strategic plan, positioning the organization for future growth and opportunities.
  • Work with Fundraising & Marketing Committees on development and coordination of fundraising events and public awareness to include scheduling volunteer support, securing community sponsors/resources, securing needed donations, etc.
  • Prepare reports for the Board of Directors on administrative and fundraising activities.
  • Receive, record and prepare for payment or deposit day-to-day expenditures and revenue.
  • Record and maintain financial records of the organization. Serve as contact for annual financial audit. Oversee annual budget of RMHC MS.
  • Prepare/submit information required by state and federal government related to financial and personnel matters.
  • Monitor the maintenance and repair of Ronald McDonald House.
  • Hire, develop, and supervise staff; foster a positive and collaborative culture.
  • Recruit and recognize volunteers for RMHC MS Board and RMHC Programs.
  • Build partnerships with hospitals, businesses, civic groups, and other nonprofits.
  • Accept speaking engagements in order to educate and develop support for RMHC Mississippi and represent the organization to community organizations and businesses within Mississippi.
  • Serve as a contact and host for group visits to RMH. Work with other staff members to ensure proper and adequate presentation of the RMH facility. Also, schedule and conduct tours of RMH for donors, suppliers, corporation members, hospital personnel and other interested parties. This responsibility could include visits after 5:00 p.m. during the week and visits on weekends.
  • Coordinate the writing, publication and distribution of communication mediums (newsletter, website, advertising, and social media.

Qualifications A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent nonprofit experience is required. A minimum of five years of nonprofit management and development experience is required. Prior experience in RMHC or management of a 24-hour facility is preferred. Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups, including business leaders and Board of Directors, is required.
