Shipyard General Manager Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of shipyard operations, including new construction, repair, and maintenance projects. Establish departmental goals and ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. Direct activities related to safety, personnel management, production scheduling, material handling, and quality control. Provide leadership to managers, supervisors, and staff, fostering a motivated and well-trained workforce. Develop and implement tactical plans aligned with company strategies, ensuring resources are effectively allocated. Manage procurement activities to ensure coordination between purchasing, production, and shipping. Prepare annual projections, quarterly reports, and capital budgets to support financial planning.
