Job Summary Accepting Internal Applications Only.
The incumbent manages the overall administration of the Athletic Department in accordance with university policies and procedures, Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulations. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, and guidelines
Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonal
Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office Suite
Highly developed collaboration, management and leadership skills
Strong logistical attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a tem and with all levels of personnel
Ability to supervise and motivate staff and delegate as needed to achieve objectives
Ability to identify and analyze complex accounting/contract/grant information or problems in an objective manner and derive logical conclusions
Ability to exercise discretion and judgment and maintain security of confidential and sensitive information and materials
Ability to negotiate research-related awards with federal, state and local government, and non-profit agencies Essential Job Functions Oversees the Athletics Ticket Office
Coordinates all aspects of budget management for the Department of Athletics
Prepares budget and expenditure reports for the SWAC and NCAA
Manages Game Day and specials events management
Administers athletic department purchasing guidelines and concessions
Reconciles all Athletic department accounts
Approves, monitors, and processes expense and purchase vouchers
Provides cost analysis to manage lots
Develops strategic objectives and plans for athletic parking operations
Responsible for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls that provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
Master’s degree preferred Licensing and Certifications N/A
