We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager who is dependable, quick to learn, and passionate about creating outstanding guest experiences while driving operational success. Position Summary As Assistant General Manager, you’ll play a critical role in managing daily hotel operations, supporting the General Manager, and ensuring smooth financial and guest service outcomes. Your keen attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills will help you confidently lead the team while following and giving clear direction.
What You’ll Do:
Financial & Operational Oversight Manage daily financial reports and guest accounts accurately to ensure timely payments. Monitor hotel costs closely without sacrificing service quality. Maintain strict inventory control across departments. Quickly identify operational issues and implement effective solutions. Guest Relations & Experience Engage with guests to understand their needs and resolve concerns promptly. Provide hands-on support at the front desk during busy periods to ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs. Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to feedback. Team Leadership & Development Take direction from leadership and translate it into clear instructions for team members. Coach, mentor, and develop staff through ongoing feedback and hands-on training. Set and monitor performance goals while recognizing achievements. Lead recruitment, interviews, and training to build a reliable and skilled team. Scheduling & Staffing Ensure all departments are properly staffed to meet guest and operational needs.
What We’re Looking For:
Dependable with a strong work ethic—you follow through on tasks and responsibilities. Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical skills to manage financial and operational data. Excellent people skills—you communicate clearly, take and give direction effectively, and motivate others. Quick learner who adapts fast in a fast-paced environment. Prior IHG experience preferred. Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems efficiently. Flexible availability to cover shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Reliable transportation.
