  • The Business Management Manager advises and provides strategic support for the assigned business area. As a subject matter expert in business management, this job oversees the execution of strategic business management consulting and is the central point of contact for leaders in the execution of business management tasks.
  • Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • + Acts as a day-to-day technical/functional expert in assigned area and makes decisions on tactical issues that impact the business.

+ Maintains and supports implementation of policies and procedures in support of the business area strategy. + Implements process improvements in assigned business area. + Analyzes and reports on area data (financial, headcount, etc.) and performance metrics. + Supports business management projects by monitoring and tracking risks, issues and action items. + Influences the development of new strategic initiatives through tracking budgets and milestones. + Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower-level professionals.

Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as the primary interface between banking business units (e.

g., Retail Banking, Commercial Lending, Risk Management) and IT to understand business needs and ensure they are translated correctly into functional requirements. + Collaborate with Project Management during all key project phases, including project prioritization, kickoffs, Scrum meetings, and other critical touchpoints to ensure alignment, clear communication and project success. +

  • Project Coordination
  • : Lead the coordination of enterprise projects involving digital banking, payment systems, compliance platforms, loan processing, and fraud ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and business objectives. +
  • Requirements Oversight:
  • Collaborate with business leaders and business analysis to capture detailed business requirements, ensuring alignment with IT technical specifications and seamless traceability throughout project lifecycles. +
  • Risk and Compliance Management:
  • Ensure enterprise projects adhere to banking regulations such as FDIC, OCC, FINRA, and CFPB guidelines, as well as internal risk and compliance policies. +
  • Issue Resolution:
  • Proactively identify project challenges and facilitate resolution to maintain project timelines and mitigate risks. +
  • Communication Management:
  • Conduct regular meetings and provide transparent updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity on project goals and deliverables. +
  • Strategy Development:
  • Develop a comprehensive framework strategy that aligns business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, fostering collaboration between business and IT teams. +
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, project managers, developers, quality assurance professionals, UAT professionals and 3 rd party vendors to integrate seamlessly into the project lifecycle. +
  • Risk Assessment:
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with all aspects of a project and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. +
  • Remediation:
  • Understand the process of addressing and resolving identified defects, issues, or vulnerabilities in software systems/applications and processes. Take corrective actions to rectify problems and improve the quality and functionality of the software. +
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of collaboration, findings, and recommendations, and provide regular reports to stakeholders highlighting key insights and outcomes.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + 5-10 years of experience of Business & IT project coordination experience and/or business analysis within the banking or financial services sector. + Program & project management experience
