Join a Companythat Empowers you to Build your Future The Land Acquisition Managerassists in the acquisition of land, lots and developmentopportunities that fit company’s land acquisition strategies andunderstanding of current market trends in land development andhomebuilding. Your Responsibilitieson the Team Identify potential land acquisition targets through taxmaps and networking with brokers, landowners, and others.

Facilitate the due diligence process and schedule activities forcontracted projects through the Greenbook process with the VP ofLand. Participate in weekly land acquisition meetings and updatethe DP and VP of Land and Development on potential deals. Assist inthe rezoning process and attend meetings with government officials,engineers, and homeowners. Maintain inventory reports, criticaldates, contract summaries, and periodic market analyses. MaintainLand Contract files, maps, and other documents in the Divisionoffice. Network with other builders and developers to staymarket-aware and develop key contacts. Assist management innegotiating terms and specifics of purchase and sale agreements,working with the Division’s outside attorney and region attorneyfor contract approvals. Collaborate with the VP of Land and VP ofFinance to keep the 5-year plan current monthly. Update thecontract status report for the divisions weekly. Requirements HighSchool Diploma or equivalent required; degree in businessadministration, engineering, accounting, finance, or similar fieldpreferred. Proficient in computer literacy, includingword-processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and datamanagement software. Knowledge of sales/negotiating principles andreal estate. Effective and concise communication skills, bothverbal and written. Ability to exercise initiative and achieveobjectives with minimal supervision. Detail-oriented problem-solvercapable of handling complex situations. Valid driver’s license witha good driving record. Valid auto insurance coverage.

Physical &Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentaryoffice position which requires the ability to occasionally bend,stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies weighing 25pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate computerkeyboard, calculator and telephone equipment.
