Skin Sense, a Day Spa is seeking a dynamic Assistant Spa Director to join our award-winning team in Raleigh. As the Assistant Spa Director, you’ll be at the heart of our mission: “Bringing Balance to Life.” You will help lead daily operations, develop our team, and implement high-impact sales strategies—especially in growing our membership base and multi-service packages. This is a full-time leadership role with significant responsibility for motivating staff, delivering memorable client experiences, and achieving aggressive sales targets. What You’ll Do Sales & Membership Growth Champion the growth of spa memberships and service series packages through effective client recommendations and upselling techniques. Develop the front desk team into a high-performing sales center , actively promoting upgrades and retail products that align with client wellness goals. Use data-driven strategies and weekly KPIs to optimize performance, retention, and revenue generation. Plan and execute spa events, open houses, and off-site activations to drive awareness and increase membership sales. Team Leadership & Coaching Conduct daily coaching sessions and one-on-one chats with therapists to identify opportunities for improvement, maximize revenue per service hour, and create clients for life through elevated guest experiences. Recruit, hire, and mentor a top-tier team of massage therapists, estheticians, Stretch Practitioner and support staff. Lead dynamic team meetings and training sessions that reinforce sales techniques, service standards, and promotional knowledge. Foster a positive, motivated team culture centered on client care, consistency, and goal achievement . Spa Operations & Guest Experience Oversee day-to-day operations across all spa departments, including massage, esthetics, front desk, spa attendants , and overall guest flow . Manage staff scheduling and time-off requests to ensure optimal coverage that aligns with business needs and sales opportunities . Provide leadership and guidance to spa attendants, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and ambiance throughout all guest areas—from locker rooms to treatment spaces. Promptly resolve client concerns, manage online reviews (Google/Yelp), and ensure seamless, high-quality guest experiences . Conduct regular walkthroughs to uphold pristine cleanliness, spa presentation, and brand-aligned atmosphere at all times. Administrative & Financial Oversight Process biweekly payroll , including performance bonuses, commissions, and incentive tracking. Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control without compromising the guest experience. Ensure compliance with state licensing and safety regulations, as well as internal policies. Deliver regular reports to senior management on sales goals, staffing needs, and operational performance.
